Calcium Appoints John Papadia to Board of Directors

Data analytics veteran will help guide rollout strategy of platform that provides automatic access to health records and remote care capabilities

Calcium, a digital health analytics company and creator of the world’s first consumer-driven health platform, today announced the appointment of John Papadia, founder of Nousot, which builds AI-powered predictive analytics solutions, to its board of directors.

Papadia brings more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, CEO, senior strategist and delivery leader in analytics-focused software and services companies. He is an expert across the analytics lifecycle, and has led some of the world’s best-known brands in planning enterprise data programs, implementing predictive capabilities, driving change management initiatives and establishing data-driven cultures.  Previously he founded Clarity Insights, which was recently acquired by Accenture for integration into its Applied Intelligence Group, and earlier in his career he served as a principal at Knightsbridge Solutions as well as PWC Consulting.

“We are excited to welcome John to our board of directors. I have known John for many years and expect that his decades of leadership in data analytics will be vital to our future operations and strategy,” said Terrence Ryan, CEO of Calcium. “John’s expertise will strengthen our commitment to empowering consumers to own their own health data and improve their lives.”

The appointment comes on the heels of Calcium’s acquisition of alligatortek as the company continues to gain traction in empowering users to automatically gather and securely share their data with doctors, nurses, therapists, trainers, loved ones and other caregivers to improve health outcomes.

Calcium’s app has recently been recognized by leading reviewers for its ability to help users remotely manage, monitor and optimize their health: AppAdvice says, “Calcium puts this information to good use, offering observations about how a user can optimize their health based on data their smart devices are providing.”

“Consumer demand for monitoring their health remotely, and for managing their health information with the power of new technologies, is growing exponentially,” Papadia said. “Calcium is committed to equipping people with this capability, and I’m excited to be part of the journey. The company’s expertise in both healthcare and analytics puts it in a unique position to lead the remote health market.”
